Lunch is served! πŸ₯•πŸŒ

New Whitney Elementary Cafeteria Manager Christine Wolf is making sure our Mustangs are fueled, one meal at a time! πŸ’ͺ

Corn dogs, curly fries, mandarin oranges, and a side of cucumbers and baby carrots... yum!
Oh, and don't forget the milk.πŸ₯›

Today, Strongsville City Schools is sending a big shout out to this week's Mustang Spotlight, Alyssa Lempner! πŸ’šπŸŽ

Alyssa Lempner has been a Kindergarten teacher at Kinsner Elementary for eight years. Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree and graduate degree from Kent State University.

β€œI love working with our youngest Mustangs and helping them to build a strong foundation and love for learning. I enjoy seeing the confidence and independence they gain from the beginning of the year to the end. It brings me so much joy to build relationships with my students, and I love when they come back to visit as the years go on. I also am proud of the positive atmosphere at Kinsner among the staff, students, and families. I feel so fortunate to work with an amazing β€œTeam K” and to have a classroom environment that feels like my home away from home.”

Thank you Alyssa for starting our youngest Mustangs at Kinsner on a strong path for success! πŸ’š

August 31 - September 4 is School Bus Safety Week. πŸšŒπŸ›‘

Our District will be conducting school bus evacuation drills in conjunction with School Bus Safety Week. Our SCS transportation staff will be conducting the drills and providing age-appropriate safety instructions for students.

Bus Safety Week provides an excellent opportunity to reinforce safe riding habits and remind students that safety is everyone's responsibility. Your cooperation helps ensure we remain in compliance with state requirements while preparing our students to respond confidently in an emergency situation. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our students safe.

Collaboration at work! 🧠πŸ’ͺ Ms. Barnicle's fifth-grade classes took on the challenge of working together silently to line up in height order and then birthday order, all while under a time limit!

These activities created an environment focused on collaboration and inclusivity, encouraging students to work together even when their ideas differed. Way to start the year of STRONG, Mustangs! πŸ’š

Today, Strongsville City Schools is sending a big shout out to this week's Mustang Spotlight, Jessica Wilson! πŸ’šπŸŽ

Jessica Wilson has worked at Chapman Elementary for five years. Jessica grew up in our District, attending Muraski, Center Middle School, and Strongsville High School (SHS Class of 2017). She earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University.

β€œMy favorite thing about working with my fifth grade students is watching them grow over the course of the year. They gain so much confidence and creativity in such a small amount of time, and it brings me so much joy to see them grow into who they want to be!”

β€œWe have a very diverse population at Chapman Elementary. I love how inclusive our staff and students are - our students do an amazing job of being accepting of all students and their abilities!”

Thank you Jessica for your efforts in helping our 5th grade students at Chapman Elementary continue to learn and grow and preparing them for their next step at SMS! πŸ’š
