About 6 a.m. the morning of Tuesday, January 24, 2017, Officer Nathan Graves, 45, was on duty and driving southbound on Highway 99, eleven miles north of Stroud, near the Lincoln and Payne County line when a northbound vehicle went left of center to pass another vehicle and struck Officer Nathan Graves’ patrol vehicle head on. Officer Nathan Graves died at the scene.

Officer Nathan Graves served with the Sac and Fox Nation for two and a half years.
