A huge THANK YOU to Struthers Rotary Club, CASTLO Community, AQUA Ohio, and First Catholic Slovak Union, St George Lodge No. 682, that EACH donated $1000
to Second Harvest Food Bank for Christ Our Savior/Holy Trinity food pantry! Your commitment to service and community makes a real difference. Because of your support, we're able to provide 20,000 meals to the food pantry, along with hope, and help to local families in need. Together we're proving that when neighbors care, communities THRIVE!

Starting October 13, Aqua contractors will replace the water main under the Bridge Street railroad crossing. This will require the intersection of Bridge and State Streets to be closed between Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 23. Detour signs will direct traffic around the closure.

Traffic on State and Bridge streets south of the railroad crossing (toward Yellow Creek) will be maintained as well as access to Main St, Liberty St and Bob Cene Way north of the railroad crossing. Access to all downtown businesses including Donavito’s Restaurant, Selah Restaurant, Astro Shapes, ECMSI, Sulmona Valley, CASTLO Industrial Park and Green Leaf Therapy will be open and maintained. Drivers are asked to use extra caution and pay close attention to detour and work zone signage.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation through this important water system improvement project.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 20th annual picnic and golf outing last Thursday. We had a fantastic turnout! Special kudos to those who volunteered their time to plan for the event, help set up, run the event and clean up afterwards. Special mention to Ray Calcagni, Jr., Randy Partika, Carol Hirt, Kelly Becker, Phyllis Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Mayor Cat Cercone Miller and her son Anthony, Jason Vaughn, Sarah Lown, Frank Simon, Marissa & Michael McVicker and Julie Swauger. Also a HUGE thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors and everyone who donated for our auction. We couldn't have had the outing without your generous support. And lastly, thank you to Belleria Pizza, Trina Williams at A Fresh Wind Catering, Linda Dudley and Donavito's Restaurant and Catering Co. for delicious food. See you all next year!

We are only one month away from our annual picnic and golf outing. We'd love for you to join us for an afternoon of fun...

Public Comments Requested for Downtown Safety Improvements Project

We are inviting the public and stakeholders to view the proposed safety improvements downtown and to provide comments. This project was recommended as part of a safety study which revealed several areas for improved safety for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
The project will involve an upgraded traffic signal and intersection approach at State Street and Bridge Street, improved pedestrian crossings, bike lanes, curb extensions and bumpouts, new pavement markings, new curb ramps, and traffic calming. There will be minor and temporary impacts to utilities and two business drive aprons.

The project is tentatively scheduled to be constructed in 2026 and is currently estimated at $1 million. The City received grant funding through the Ohio Department of Transportation Highway Safety Improvement Program to design and construct this project.

Additional public outreach will be provided before construction.

Comments, questions, and concerns may be provided using the project website:
