Sincere condolences to the family and friends, as well as Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co. Inc, for the loss of Joe Lee. Rest in peace, brother.

It is with profound sadness that Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company announces the passing of Joe Lee, Past Fire Chief who faithfully led our department for 14 years, from 1972 to 1986, served for 19 years as a Wyoming County Deputy Fire Coordinator, and dedicated 55 years of service to Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company.

The fire service was more than something Joe did—it was a way of life. Joe dedicated an incredible 67 years of his life to the fire service, including 55 years of faithful service to Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company.

Throughout those years, Joe served not only as a firefighter and leader, but as a mentor, teacher, and friend to generations of firefighters. His knowledge, dedication, and commitment to the fire service have left a lasting impact on our department and our community.

Please keep Joe’s family, friends, and the members of Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of a man who gave so much of his life in service to others.

Rest easy, Chief. We’ll take it from here.

No one wants to cook on Sunday! We’ve gotcha covered! Presale tickets guarantee you a chicken dinner, but if we don’t sell out, we’ll have dinners available first come, first served until sold out.

This is our last fundraiser for this year. Please help us by supporting us once again. We thank all of our volunteers who make this possible and we thank everyone who purchases a dinner!

🚑🚒Congratulations, Chief Julia Elge🚒🚑

On Saturday, Julia Elge was honored as the 2026 Western New York Volunteer Firefighters Association EMS Provider of the Year at the association’s awards ceremony in Dansville, NY!

Julia serves as Chief of the Strykersville Volunteer Fire Company and is an active member of the Strykersville Rescue Squad. Her commitment to our community, her department, and those she serves is truly something to be proud of.

Members of the Strykersville Volunteer Fire Company, along with members from Wyoming County, were honored to participate in the presentation to Julia and celebrate this very well-deserved achievement with her.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Julia as a leader and EMS provider who gives so much of herself to others.
