🌟In every season: Tern! Tern! Tern! - Photo: Breeding Royal Terns - Peter Brannon/Audubon Photography Awards — Look for Royal Terns Sandwich Terns, Least Terns, and more along the Treasure Coast.

Terns forage primarily by plunge-diving — slow flying, hovering over water when they spot prey below, then diving to catch small fish or invertebrates just beneath the surface.

They typically don’t go deep; most catches are made in the top meter or so of water.
