It's National Dog Month! 🐶
Who says a dog has to steal the show? During a Stuart Elementary School pet show held in 1952 for "Be Kind to Animals Week," students proudly brought their beloved animals, from dogs and goats to horses...and even a prize-winning cow! First prize went to student Gary Cabre and his cow. Aubrey Savage won second place with his horse. Third place went to John Ramsey with his dog, and goat owner Donald Ludlum, won fourth place. Scans gift of Sandra Thurlow.
