Sometimes the best teams are built far away from the scoreboard.

The Sturgeon Bay Girls Basketball team recently traded the basketball court for the ropes course at the Door County Adventure Center, where they focused on building communication, trust, leadership, and teamwork.

From tackling challenging obstacles to encouraging one another high above the ground, our athletes stepped outside their comfort zones while learning lessons that will benefit them both on and off the court. Experiences like these help strengthen the bonds that make great teams even stronger.

A huge thank you to the incredible staff at the Door County Adventure Center for providing such a memorable and impactful experience. We appreciate your support of our student-athletes!

๐ŸŽญ Surprise! Sunrise Staff Joined the Fun! ๐ŸŽ‰

What happens when Sunrise Elementary staff trade their lanyards for costumes and head to the playground? Smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Students were surprised and excited to see some familiar faces dressed up and joining them for afternoon recess. From dancing and high-fives to racing down the slides and sharing plenty of laughs, the playground was filled with energy and joy.

Moments like these remind us that learning communities are built not only in the classroom but also through meaningful connections and shared experiences. The excitement on our students' faces made this a day they won't soon forget.

A big thank you to all of our Sunrise staff who helped make this fun surprise possible. Your creativity and enthusiasm made recess extra special!

๐Ÿƒ Learning Through Cribbage!

Our 5th grade students wrapped up their math curriculum for the school year with a fun traditionโ€”learning how to play cribbage!

More than just a card game, cribbage helps students continue building their math, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while having fun. It also encourages strategy, friendly competition, and quality time with friends and family throughout the summer.

We hope our students keep their new skills sharp by teaching someone at home and enjoying a few games over summer break. Learning doesn't have to stop when school does!
