Lt Col Evan Jones has been recognized as Civil Air Patrol's Maj Gen Dwight Wheless National Legal Officer of the Year Award. This award recognizes outstanding performance by a Legal Officer who has contributed to the success of CAP's missions, and is based on the individual’s demonstrated integrity, command counsel, investigation support, and representation in
regulatory actions.

Colonel Jones has served as the Kentucky Wing’s Legal Officer since 2013, and also serves as the Wing Aircraft Maintenance Officer and holds a variety of positions in the Blue Grass Senior Squadron.
He is a Master-rated Legal Officer, graduate of the CAP National Legal Officer College, and holds Specialty Track ratings in Professional Development, Finance and Communications. Mr. Allen C. Timmerman, CEO of Jet Air Group received the Civil Air Patrol's Frank G. Brewer, Sr. CAP Memorial Aerospace Award in the Organizational Category.

The Brewer Awards are given to individuals and organizations having made outstanding contributions out of selfless devotion to the advancement of youth in aerospace activities. Mr. Timmerman has been a direct and generous support of CAP for many years. His FBO houses a CAP squadron, pays hangar heating costs to support CAP activities, and FBO employees support CAP activities and events. It is estimated Mr. Timmerman has saved the local squadron more than $15,000 in the last eight years, as fuel costs and heated aircraft storage are discounted for CAP. Outside of his contact with CAP, Mr. Timmerman has been the vice president of the local EAA chapter, a Young Eagles Coordinator, and provides FBO space for first responder programs.

Mr. Timmerman joins ten Great Lakes Region Auxiliary Airmen in receiving nation-wide recognition this year. Stay tuned as we mark their accomplishments!

#CharacterMatters and #Perspective is the #CivilAirPatrol virtue for cadet character development lessons during June.

As one of the four tenets of the CAP Pillar of Spirit in a life, how our perspective shapes the meaning and purpose of our life will greatly influence how we perform and derive meaning from events that take place around us.

Hi I am a patron member of Civil Air Patrol and USAF Veteran I also collect Civil Air Patrol patches and their heraldry and was wondering if I could trade, buy or make a donation for your Squadron patch. If you have any other versions of your patch or other Civil Air Patrol patches new or used I would be interested in those too. I can send a check, money order or paypal along with a return envelope. Thank you Roger LaShomb 1592 Co. Rt. 38 Norfolk, New York 13667
