The alley north of Main Ave between 3rd St and 4th St, along with the parking lot (officially known as "Hicks Square") at 3rd St and Main Ave (behind the De Pere Chamber of Commerce sign) will be reconstructed this year in advance of utility replacement on Main Ave in 2027 and Wisconsin Department of Transportation street reconstruction in 2028.

The open shelter at Legion Park has a new metal roof! The old roof had reached the end of its life. Our Parks Dept. has been moving away from shingle roofs to metal roofs because they last much longer. The De Pere Wi Lions Club logos are on the new roof, just like they were on the old roof (not sure of the whole backstory behind that, but we assume the Lions Club helped sponsor the shelter when it was originally built).

Our new Yard Waste Site at 2005 Commerce Drive is getting closer to opening, with a start date of Monday, June 15.
