Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children.

•Fruits and vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned).
•Whole wheat/whole grain foods: 100% whole wheat bread, brown rice, soft corn or whole wheat tortillas.
•Beans, peas, lentils (canned or dried).
•Canned fish (light tuna or pink salmon).
•Milk, eggs, cheese.
•Infant cereals, fruits and vegetables, and meats.
Formulas and Medical Nutritionals:
•Standard contract formulas.
•Exempt (special) formulas for infants and children with special needs.
•Medical foods for children and women with special needs.
