Healthy Door County 2020
It’s that time of year, Door County cherries are in season! There are 2 different styles of cherries in Door County, sweet and tart. Both cherries have their own unique health benefits. Sweet cherries are great for eating and tart cherries are great for baking, canning, drying, and freezing (although you can eat them too if you like to pucker!) Sweet cherries are high in Vitamin C and Potassium. Tart cherries are full of antioxidants and is linked to lowering inflammation, boosting immunity, and improving sleep. Both cherries are full of nutrients and provide a great snack or treat!
