Myth or Fact? Kids can’t get COVID-19, so playdates with friends are a good way to keep them busy. 🤔...MYTH!

While adults make up most of the known cases of COVID-19 to date, some children and infants have tested positive for COVID-19. Kids could also spread the virus without showing symptoms, so it’s important to keep them home as much as possible, avoid playdates for now, and encourage them to wash their hands often. 🧼👏 Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing ways to keep your little ones busy at home! 🏡 #SaferAtHome #InthisTogether

Of course we don't encourage sitting in front of the t.v. all day, but we are lucky to have this opportunity to learn through some fun PBS programs during #saferathome
Thank you PBS Wisconsin!

Beginning this Monday, March 30, PBS Wisconsin is excited to announce an ambitious plan, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and Milwaukee PBS, to support at-home learning for students and families by broadcasting a new weekday television schedule of programming with digital resources that connect to Wisconsin’s state academic standards.
PBS Wisconsin will dedicate the 5 a.m.-5 p.m. daytime weekday schedule below on The Wisconsin Channel, or PBS Wisconsin-2, to educational programming that includes specific blocks of time for pre-K through 12th grade levels and covers subjects, including English language arts, social studies, science and math.
The special broadcast schedule will also be available to stream online at pbswisconsin.org/familyresources along with corresponding free digital content for at-home learning and support for teachers navigating this new learning landscape.

DYK? Breastfeeding with COVID-19 is safe. 👌 In fact, if you’re breastfeeding and you become ill, it’s important not to interrupt nursing. The baby has already been exposed to the virus and will benefit most from continued breastfeeding. Following good hygiene practices will also help reduce transfer of the virus. #WICMomStrong #InThisTogether
