Summer prep is officially underway at the Sturgis Community Pool ☀️

While our indoor pools are open and running, we’re hard at work getting the outdoor Jr. Pool ready for summer! Today included leaf blowing, power washing, and starting to fill the pool back up.

It’s exciting to see the outdoor area coming back to life. Summer will be here before we know it! 🏊‍♂️🌊

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we receive is pool temperature — so today we made an adjustment from 82° to 85° to create a more comfortable experience for our swimmers and families.

We appreciate everyone who continues to share feedback as we work to make the Sturgis Community Pool the best experience possible for our community. Come enjoy the warmer water! 💙

🌊 Daytime Open Rec is Here! 🌊

We already offer Open Recreation in the evenings and on Saturdays — but after several recent requests, we’re excited to introduce a Daytime Open Rec option!

Beginning Thursday in May, join us for:
🕒 Daytime Open Recreation
📅 Thursdays
⏰ 12:30–2:00 PM

This is public swim for all ages — bring the kids, get a workout in, or just come enjoy the water during the day.

This is a great option for parents with kids not yet in school, homeschool families, or anyone with a flexible daytime schedule.

We’re piloting this for the month of May, and turnout will help decide if it sticks around next school year. If this fits your schedule, come out and make it a success!

🚨 Pool Closure Notice 🚨

The pool will be closed starting today (Friday, April 17th) at 1:30 PM and will remain closed through the weekend.

We will reopen on Monday, April 20th at 7:00 AM.

This closure is to allow for a weekend training course for our lifeguards as we continue to invest in safety and high-quality service for our community.
