The Sturgis Pump Track is getting a few exciting upgrades during Rally!

Our Parks Department crews are taking advantage of the opportunity to complete some important maintenance by seal coating the pump track, helping protect the surface and extend its life for years of riding to come.

They've also fabricated and installed a brand-new shade structure over the seating area, providing a much more comfortable place for riders and families to relax and watch the action.

A big thank you to our Parks crews for their craftsmanship and dedication to keeping our parks and recreational amenities in top shape. We think these improvements are going to make an already great facility even better. We can't wait for everyone to enjoy it!

It's that time of year again!

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, July 31, 2026, City crews will begin installing temporary traffic control devices throughout Sturgis in preparation for the 86th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Over the coming days, motorists should expect changes to traffic patterns, lane shifts, temporary signage, barricades, and other traffic control measures as we prepare to safely welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors to our community.

We ask everyone to:
🏍️ Slow down and use extra caution.
🚧 Watch for changing traffic patterns and posted signs.
👷 Be alert for City crews working along roadways.
🚗 Allow a little extra travel time as traffic control measures are put into place.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we prepare for another safe and successful Rally. Thank you for helping us make Sturgis ready to welcome the world!
