Stuttgart Parks and Recreation

Stuttgart Parks and Recreation Stuttgart Parks runs the youth sports programs for the City of Stuttgart. We have baseball/softball, football and cheer, and basketball.

We also have several public use parks throughout the city. The John Cain Park and John Cain Aquatic Center and tennis courts on Park Avenue, J.B. Bryant Park on North Buerkle with a sandlot baseball diamond and basketball courts, and the Reinsch Complex on W. 22nd with 7 baseball and softball fields. Youth Football is played at the Reinsch Complex and youth basketball is played at Park Avenue Gym.

Today and tomorrow from 5-6pm will be the last 2 days to sign up for flag football and flag cheerleading! Please make sure to get them signed up by tomorrow. Will be at the Reinsch baseball complex concession stand.

We will draft soon and we can’t add after that due to jerseys being ordered etc.

FLAG FOOTBALL/CHEER PARENTS:

We are trying something new this year with flag football/cheerleading!

We are now offering this program to pre-k girls and boys also. Players need to turn 4 by August 1, 2026.

So this season we will have flag football and cheerleading for pre-k through 6th grade girls and boys!

Sign up forms will be going to schools today. Expect them in your child’s backpack in the next day or two.

I’ll be doing sign ups at the Reinsch baseball complex Monday Aug 17, Tuesday August 18, and Thursday Aug 20 and the following Monday, August 24, and Tuesday Aug 25.

Come get them signed up!

3-6 grade TACKLE football season is upon us. The teams are getting geared up to start their first practices as a team. As of right now you have not missed out on anything. But we need all players signed up and on the roster by this evening! Today, August 4, 2026 at 6:00pm I will be at the Reinsch baseball complex along with the 3/4 grade football coach Rashawn Jackson. If you are a 3 or 4 grade player who wants to try it out come on out to the baseball complex today at 6:00pm. You can meet the coach, ask questions, meet new people and be a part of the Stuttgart Ricebird P*e Wee Football program. If you are a 5 or 6 grade player you can come sign up as well!

***Jerseys will be ordered tomorrow. So this will be the final chance to make sure you secure a spot on the team.

Important info regarding flag football and flag cheerleading…

***Stuttgart Parks and Recreation will be doing flag football and cheerleading sign ups sometime around the second week of August. There has been some confusion about a new organization doing flag football sign ups.

We will be sure to let everyone know and send forms home with your kids at school for flag football sign ups.

***Also, this is the last and final chance to get your child on a tackle football team or to sign them up to be on the tackle cheer team. Please come to the Reinsch baseball complex tomorrow from 5:30-7:30 to sign them up. We will be ordering jerseys soon and we will not take any sign ups after that time. Thank you!!!

After a long hard fought weekend our Stuttgart parks and recreation 12u boys all star baseball team has won the Arkansas Diamond youth baseball state tournament!!! We are so proud of them! They will be heading to the Diamond youth baseball World Series at the end of July in Laurel, Ms. Let’s rally around them and support them in making this happen! They all learned a lot this weekend and had many highs and lows! Great job boys!

Also our 6u tee ball boys were co champs with arkadelphia! We are so proud of all of you!

Our 8u boys and 10u boys also came and participated! 8u played very very hard Saturday playing 4 games in one day. 10u things didn’t go like they planned but they were a good sport and showed great sportsmanship and dedication to the game.

Thanks coaches and parents for supporting these young players as they learn this awesome game!

TACKLE FOOTBALL/CHEER SIGN UPS are right around the corner! We will do sign ups on the following days…
Monday, July 6 5-6pm
Tuesday, July 7 5-6pm
Thursday, July 9 5-6pm

Sign ups will be at the Reinsch baseball complex under the pavilion on the west gate side. Come to the main parking lot across from the First Baptist Church.

Registration fee will be $70 for the first child and $60 for each additional child in the same household.

Practices will start August 1. Games usually start the first week in September. There will be some traveling involved for games.

We accept cash, card, tap or check. Please make checks to Stuttgart Parks & Recreation.
