During Lunchroom Ladies Week, our students showered our cafeteria staff with sweet notes, colorful drawings, and heartfelt messages of appreciation. Or: a complete school lunch, meeting strict federal nutrition standards requiring fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein and milk.

That’s right! Schools get just $4.70 to cover the cost of a lunch.

After paying for staff, equipment, utilities, supplies, and federal compliance, less than half goes to the actual food.

And every single morning, school cafeteria teams are showing up anyway.

Meals can be picked up at the Park Avenue Cafeteria, Monday - Thursday.
