Roxbury Company 1 Fire and EMS

Roxbury Company 1 Fire and EMS Volunteer Organization We are an all-volunteer Fire Company of approximately 80 members that provide Fire and EMS service to the residents of Roxbury Township.

Our station primarily covers Succasunna, Kenvil and Ledgewood secions of Roxbury Township. We are one of three fire stations covering the township. Company # 1 operates 2 Engines, 2 Quints, 1 Rescue, 2 Ambulances, and a boat. Our company responds to approximately 350 fire calls and over 1000 EMS calls per year. Our members are highly trained and dedicated to serving the community.

Last evening, Tower 15 and Engine 13 responded as mutual aid to Mount Arlington for a second-alarm residential structure fire.

Upon arrival, our crews worked alongside numerous mutual aid companies to assist with fire suppression operations and bring the incident under control.

We are proud to support our neighboring communities and value the strong partnerships that make these responses successful. Thank you to all responding agencies for their professionalism and teamwork.

On Tuesday evening, members of the Roxbury Fire Department and Roxbury EMS participated in a joint training drill focused on patient packaging and movement techniques in challenging rescue scenarios. The drill simulated both below-grade and second-story patient removals, allowing personnel to practice coordinated operations in realistic emergency situations.

Training opportunities such as these strengthen the teamwork and communication between our Fire and EMS divisions while enhancing our ability to safely and efficiently care for patients during complex incidents. By working together and understanding each other’s capabilities, our members are better prepared to provide the highest level of service to the community when real emergencies occur.
