Roxbury and Mt. Arlington Consolidation Study Commission This Commission will study the possibility of consolidating Roxbury and Mt. Arlington.

The Roxbury and Mount Arlington Consolidation Study Commission has been established to work in partnership and provide the residents of Roxbury and Mount Arlington, NJ information about the possibility of municipal consolidation. We shall pursue the objective of gathering and analyzing information for the public. The Commission will do this in an open and inclusive manner and will thoroughly revie

w the benefits and detriments of consolidation. The Commission may develop a public report and disseminate said report for consideration by the residents of both communities to create an informed public with an understanding of consolidation and determine if the matter should be put forth for public vote.

Well, now the State will do the Consolidation while the Commission had a plan that the elected officials and the public fought. We had a team of local Commissioners concerned for Roxbury and Mt Arlington children and tax payers. A compromised plan. Now it is the hands of the State. As local residents, we will now see the state demand Regionalization!

The Consolidation Commission, I Chaired for over 4 1/2 years, completes our mission. Now it is time for Roxbury and Mount Arlington to use our study reports as a blueprint to find shared services that can be implemented to reduce property taxes for the residents.
Thanks go out to all the Commissioners that dedicated almost 5 years to this study as volunteers for the sole benefit of finding possible solutions to reduce property taxes in Roxbury and Mount Arlington.
Thanks also for Gina Genovese for her insights and support over the past 7 years to encourage Consolidations and shared services as part of "Courage to Connect".
