September Monthly Spotlight: Maps!
Maps are one of the many items stored in the Suffield Town Clerk’s vault. Our maps date back to the 1890s.
All maps are available to view in the Town Clerk’s office.
As part of the Suffield Town Clerk’s FY 2026 Historical Grant we have indexed maps from 1972 to the present. These maps are available through our online Land Record system: https://recordhub.cottsystems.com/SuffieldCT/Portal/SearchSites/Home?OrganizationId=40
If you are looking for a map filed before 1972, you can search scanned copies of our Map Index on the Town Clerk’s page: https://www.suffieldct.gov/departments/townclerk
Once you locate the Book/Volume and Page for the map, you can request/obtain copies:
1. In-person in the Suffield Town Clerk’s office using our Public Map Station ($1/map)
2. Via mail by written request, including Title, Owner, Address, Book/Page and Fee ($1/map)
3. Via email by request, including Title, Owner, Address and Book/Page. Upon receipt of Fee ($1/map), we will mail your copy.
Unfortunately, maps cannot be emailed or faxed, nor can they be photographed in our vault.
The Suffield Town Clerk plans to index more maps as part of our FY 2027 Historical Grant, stay tuned!
