Students from across eastern Virginia recently showcased their creativity, talent, and self-expression through the Regions 1 & 2 Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) Writing Competition. Designed specifically for students receiving special education services, the annual competition celebrates the unique voices and writing abilities of students with disabilities while encouraging confidence, communication, and creativity through the written word.

Congratulations to Ava Bimber, student at John Yeates Middle School, who was named the overall winner in the Letter Formation category for her writing titled "Lucy". Congratulations also to Janet Dildy (pictured), student from King's Fork High School, who won the Letter Strings category for her writing titled "Mikah." We are especially proud of all of our student finalists for a job well done!
