Sugar Land Branch Library is one of 12 branches of Fort Bend County Libraries, a public library system in Fort Bend County, Texas.

Fort Bend County Libraries' Sugar Land Branch Library opened in August 1999, the final branch constructed with funds voted upon in the 1989 bond election. The mission of Fort Bend County Libraries is to bring people, information and ideas together to enrich lives, expand minds, and strengthen our community. Come and go as you please to play a variety of board games! Come learn something new or play one of the classics.

All ages are welcome, but we ask anyone under age 12 be accompanied by an adult.

Need a place to work on a group project or study with friends? We’ll provide you with tables, chairs, and computers to create the ideal study space. A librarian will be in the room in case you need assistance with research or using library resources and, most importantly, snacks will be provided!

This teen program will take place on Saturday, October 24, from 12:00 - 4:30 pm.

Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch, or do any kind of handcraft? Come share your ideas, show off your work, and perhaps get another crafter's expert eye and perspective. Meet and chat with your neighbors while you work on your craft. Bring any project you're working on, or come just to be inspired. All levels of crafting experience welcome!

This program will occur Friday, October 23, from 2-3 pm.

Computers and the internet can be powerful tools, but it’s important to know how to protect yourself when using them. We’ll be covering the basics of passwords, two-factor authentication, online scams, and other strategies to keep you and your information safe.

🎬Join us for a movie night at our next Creative Connections program! On Monday, October 12 at 6:00 pm, students in grades 4-8 can hang out, meet new friends, and watch a free film! Snacks and refreshments provided.

🍿In this warmhearted fable told in stop-motion animation, director Tim Burton presents a hair-raising legend based on a 19th-century Russian folktale, in which a young man mistakenly weds a co**se while on a two-day trek to the village of his real bride-to-be. It is up to the groom's flesh-and-blood fiancée, who has been pining for the arrival of her intended, to face her wraith-like rival and make peace with her by promising to live her dreams for her and by vowing to remember her always. This film is rated PG.
