Sugar Land Branch Library - FBCL Sugar Land Branch Library is one of 12 branches of Fort Bend County Libraries, a public library system in Fort Bend County, Texas.

Fort Bend County Libraries' Sugar Land Branch Library opened in August 1999, the final branch constructed with funds voted upon in the 1989 bond election. The mission of Fort Bend County Libraries is to bring people, information and ideas together to enrich lives, expand minds, and strengthen our community. All Fort Bend County Libraries will be closed on Sunday and Monday, September 6 and 7, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.

Regular hours resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Join us for a special hands-on STEM workshop presented by the Travis High School chapter of STEMsters. On Saturday, August 22, at 2:00 pm, youth in grades K-5 will learn about the concepts of energy, angles, and air resistance and then have the opportunity to create their own catapults using marshmallows.

STEMsters is a national student-run non-profit organization that allows high school students to volunteer by leading interactive, hands-on STEM lessons for younger children.
