Attn. Residents: 2024 Garbage bills are scheduled to be mailed in the upcoming week. They will be due at the end of March. The garbage fee for 2024 is $375 (residential) and $515 (commercial). Thank you!

If you received a notice regarding your Sewer O&M fee and need to speak with someone regarding this, there will be a council person available for office hours on Tuesday, February 20th from 12pm-2:30pm. If this time doesn’t work for you, please contact the borough building to set up a time to speak with someone at 570-822-9282. Thank you.

Pennsylvania American Water is continuing to conduct a water service line inventory project through December 15, 2023.
Their contractors, Greeley & Hansen, will be going door-to-door collecting responses to the survey. All representatives will be wearing high-visibility vests with logo and carrying identification.

Just a few reminds from our Chief of Police:
• When paying for a ticket, all payments must be in the form of check or money order made out to Sugar Notch Borough (cash cannot be accepted).
• 911 should be called for any police matter- there is an emergency and non-emergency option.
• Any non-police related issues such a building permits, zoning, and questions about garbage or taxes should be directed to the borough line at 570-822-9282.
