* NOTICE * Republic Services will be using smart cameras on collection trucks to spot overfilled cart and/or contamination in recycling (blue) carts starting September 2026. This new program helps meet California’s recycling goals and keeps our community green.
Don't worry, you will get warning reminders before any major charges apply. Here is how the fee system works:

• ⚠️ 1st mistake: You get an educational notice.
• 📉 2nd mistake: You get a smaller, reduced fee.
• 🛑 3rd mistake: You get the full fee ($5.78 to $36.13).

Please remember to make sure all cart lids are closed, and please sort your items carefully! Trash in the gray cart, recycling in the blue cart, and organics in the green cart.

CALTRANS NIGHT ROADWORK - US 101 - August 21st to August 24th -- Hospital Curve. See map and post for details. Caltrans Bay Area-District 4

🚧 U.S. 101 Hospital Curve Roadwork Alert 🚧

Caltrans will reduce lanes on both southbound and northbound U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve) in San Francisco from 11PM, Friday, Aug. 21 until 6 AM, Monday, Aug. 24 to complete critical median drainage roadwork.

DETOUR ROUTE:
USE I-280 or 19th Ave. (State Route 1) if you're planning on visiting the city or catching a flight at SFO✈️

The work is part of the Fab 4 Hospital Curve Rehabilitation Project, which began in fall 2025.
