Second Alarm Fire Contained at Suisun City Walmart
Suisun City, CA β May 14, 2026
On Wednesday, May 13, at approximately 10:39 p.m., the Suisun City Fire Department and Suisun City Police Department were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at the Walmart located at 350 Walters Road in Suisun City. Dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire inside the store, with numerous occupants evacuating the building.
Due to confirmed reports of an active fire and ongoing evacuations, the incident was upgraded to a 2nd Alarm Commercial Structure Fire response.
First-arriving fire units reported visible smoke, active fire conditions, and an activated fire sprinkler system inside the store. Firefighters, with mutual aid assistance from the Fairfield Fire Department, Vacaville City Fire Department, Travis Air Force Base Fire Department, Vallejo Fire Department, and the Suisun City Police Department, were able to contain the fire to the area of origin.
The Suisun City Police Department assisted with the safe evacuation of store employees and customers, as the business was open at the time of the incident.
The fire was successfully contained through the combined efforts of firefighters and the buildingβs automatic fire sprinkler system, significantly limiting fire spread. However, substantial smoke and water damage occurred throughout the store, resulting in significant damage to contents and merchandise.
