MOULTRIE COUNTY CodeRed USERS: There has been a cyberattack on the CodeRed platform. The system is currently down. Onsolve, which is the company that has ownership of CodeRed has started the process to open a new platform called Crisis24. They are working around the clock to get the information transferred over to the new platform. Important info for now… Automated Weather Notifications DO NOT WORK. Please spread the word to your friends, family and neighbors. This is out of our hands and we will update along the way.

On November 8, 2025, starting around 1:00 P.M., a full-scale Active Threat Response training for Moultrie County First Responders will take place at the Hydro-Gear facility (1411 South Hamilton Street, Sullivan, IL 61951). This event is in cooperation with the Moultrie County First Responders and Hydro-Gear. It’s a test of the emergency response and current capabilities of law enforcement and EMS. This training gives first responders and command staff the opportunity to work together in a simulated environment and identify both strengths and areas for improvement.

During this training, community members may notice emergency personnel responses and alarms. Access to the facility and traffic around the area may be restricted or diverted for safety and training reasons. Please note, this is a planned event and there is NO ACTUAL THREAT to the public.

End of statement.

Thank you all for your cooperation and support.

We are going to go ahead and LIFT the burn ban with the rain that is starting and going to get today. We will monitor it closely but this is a start. We know it has hindered a lot of plans and we appreciate the understanding. Please be mindful of open burning if you do burn after the weather passes. Thank you.

Please please PLEASE do not burn. There is a county wide burn ban. We were two rows away from this getting REALLY bad.

We would like to thank the following for the assistance on this field fire.

Sullivan Fire
Dora Fire
Findlay Fire
Findlay PD
Coles- Moultrie 9-1-1

We are proud to have put the new bed on our brush truck to work and worked flawlessly. Had we not had this set up allowing members to safely ride with a harness in the back, this fire would have made it to standing corn.

Thank you everyone for your help, and consideration to not burn!

PSA! In coordination with Fire Departments and Community Officials, there is a BURN BAN for ALL of Moultrie County until further notice Failure to follow this ban could result in fines from your local authorities. In effort to Allow the public to enjoy fall season festivities, we will monitor it on a constant basis and lift the ban as we determine it is safe. It may be confusing at times but this is a better alternative than just placing a ban on the fall weather activities for the whole season.

Thanks
