Another Alumni Update:

We congratulate Ryan Musil on successfully completing Firefighter 1/2 and EMT certifications. As a multi class recruit, Ryan held a leadership role, including serving as Class Chief. Following his graduation, Ryan has consistently returned to the academy as an instructor each year after aging out. This achievement marks a continuation of the Musil legacy in fire service, as Ryan's father, Captain John Musil, serves as a captain at Saline Fire Protection District and annual instructor at the academy.

Alumni spotlight:

Today we bring you another alumni beginning his full time fire Career with a district directly neighboring Sullivan.

Dylan Nochta has taken the oath to serve and protect the citizens and visitors of the St Clair Fire District. Dylan attended SFPD Junior Academy back in 2014-2015.

Our dear friend and co worker, Hollie Vollmer, has always been the one showing up for others. She has been a first responder with EMS for 21 years. Spending all of these years caring for strangers on their worst days, giving her heart to her family, and her love to her animals. She is a friend everyone is lucky to have.

Hollie has recently been diagnosed and is beginning her journey fighting breast cancer while also being an incredible mom to her sweet 2-year-old.

Sports Image in Sullivan has teamed up with those who are close to Hollie to bring you an amazing opportunity to support this wonderful woman in her journey fighting breast cancer. Merry Christmas to all! The countdown is on, little over 6 months until Class 19!

We bring you more Alumni achievements.

This one is very near and special to our team. Our home department, Sullivan Fire Protection District, recently passed a tax increase which will provide more full time staffing(12 members over 3 years). The first 6 were officially hired and will start in January. Out of those 6 hired, 5 of those members has attended The SFPD Junior Academy! Additionally, all 6 of those members help instruct throughout the week.
