Lyle served for many many years with Lynnville Emergency Services. Many of our members worked alongside him as members on the LFD and on many mutual aide calls together. No matter the situation that led you to know Rosco, he left an impact on every one of us. Keep the members of Lynnville Emergency Services and his wife Barb Martin and their family in your prayers. He fought a hard battle. Rest Easy Brother.

Lyle Rosco Martin, 61 of Lynnville passed away Monday afternoon, March 30, 2026 at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House. A Celebration of Life/Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Lynnville Fire Department from 400 pm to 700 pm with a meal being served. A private family

Beautiful weather is in the forecast this weekend. Maybe you’re planning some yard cleanup, fence line burning, or clearing brush around the house or farm.

Before you light that match, make the call.

If you plan to conduct controlled burning, you must call it in before you burn and again once you’re finished at 641-792-5912. Failing to do so can result in a fine, and nobody wants that. It takes two minutes. Make the call.

Also, be smart about it. We have already seen neighboring counties respond to structure fires that started as “controlled burns” but got out of control. Wind shifts. Conditions change. What looks manageable can turn serious fast.

Have water on hand. Watch the weather. Stay with your burn. And when in doubt, wait it out.

Let’s enjoy the weather and keep Jasper County safe. PLEASE SHARE SO OTHERS KNOW TO CALL!

🚑 Help Us Recognize Those Making an Impact in EMS! 🚑

As we prepare for the EMS Impact Conference this January, we’re looking to highlight the people, businesses, and services that have made a difference in Jasper County EMS this year.

Take a quick moment to nominate someone who’s gone above and beyond: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GD2RS8F

We’ll be announcing those selected during the conference as part of our local EMS recognition awards.

If you own a business or organization and would like to donate to help cover the cost of the conference or the awards, please reach out! We’ll make sure you’re recognized in all conference materials and promotions.

This event is an excellent opportunity for local EMS providers to receive free continuing education hours, and your support helps make that possible.

Let’s celebrate those who serve our communities every day. 💙

Within a week! Prizes, please read! We are working with our prize pile for the car show entries but wanted to give everyone else the chance to get something too. So let's make it a little game. Go the Sully Fire and Ambulance page and share the original post. Comment on there that you shared and also add in your comment how many cars you think we will get this year. We will do a drawing out of who shared the post. Then whoever guesses the closest amount of cars will win. We will give you both $20 cash and who knows maybe some more goodies we might come up with before then!

It's sneaking up on us again! We are just about two weeks away from the car show! Everything is coming together nicely and we are working hard to pile up the door prizes and trophies to give out. Get the cars out and ready to go so you can join us!

Its official! Sully Fire Department will be doing a car show again this year. Last year we had a great amount of cars and hoping to get more this year! The truck route will be closed this time around so we will have all kinds of room! Added a few things for this year including more awards, a bounce house for the kids, and going to include the airport with a fly-in.

If you were there last year you will be getting a flyer in the mail along with a registration form. To speed up the process on that day we are taking pre-registrations so you will just have to come up the day of the show and grab a window card with your entry number. Mail form and payment to the return address on the envelope and make check payable to "Sully Fire & Ambulance".

THANK YOU to the Jasper County Board of Supervisors for the recognition and support for local EMS. It takes a team to provide support in rural areas with volunteer services. Its a privilege to provide this service to our community.

A big thank you to the Jasper County Board of Supervisors for passing a proclamation recognizing our incredible EMS responders. We are grateful for their continued support of emergency medical services across the county. Jasper County is fortunate to have dedicated responders who give so much of themselves to help others in their time of need. We appreciate each and every one of you.
