I'm feeling sad and disappointed to discover that someone took the notebook and pencil from Storywalk. Without that, we have lost the monthly participation count for August that is turned into the State Library of Iowa. 😔

Good news! We are starting a newsletter. The newsletter will be sent out once monthly towards the end of the month. Each month we'll include upcoming events, special announcements, new materials, and more! You can fill out the form linked here, or sign up any time you are in the library during business hours.

Congratulations to Tre, the winner of the ginormous frog!

We started with 100 frogs

6 were never found - 1 in the bakery, 1 at Deep Rock, 2 on the square, and 2 at the ball park.
At this time, 36 frogs have not returned to the library, plus, we have 4 tags that returned without frogs attached.

If you want to go hunting, we will still give out gummy bears for your efforts!
There are 2 in the Lions Park; 6 at Deep Rock; 14 on the square, and 13 at the ball park that have not made it back yet.

We hope you enjoyed the hunt!

I found a frog!
Oh wait, that contest is over, and he's not the kind we were looking for!
Seriously, if you have library frogs that have not been turned in, you can still bring them in for gummy bears. There are between 30 & 40 frogs unaccounted for at this time.

Don't miss out on the fun we have at our summer programs!
Join us on Wednesday, August 12, at 9AM when we welcome Absolute Science to present our last program for the summer!
Look at all the fun we had on July 29, when we decorated bird feeders, had a snack, and then went out to create our own 'concrete' garden with chalk!

Congrats to Audry, as she found elusive frog #67, who found a duck friend when he went out to hide! Audry earned an extra entry into the contest for bringing them both in.
Reminder - even though there are still 46 that are unaccounted for, the deadline to enter the contest has passed.
The winner will be drawn tomorrow, at our last summer program, you do not have to be present to win.
