We had two very different approaches to enjoying the park this week!

Saf the Heeler found a shady spot by the lake, kicked back, and showed us exactly how a relaxing park day should be done.🌊🐶😎

Meanwhile, Kinley the Chihuahua came prepared with enough enthusiasm for EVERYONE. Just look at that smile!💕Whether she was hitting the trail or stopping for a quick water break, Kinley was clearly having the time of her life.🤣

From laid-back lake lounging to tiny-but mighty adventures, we love seeing our four-legged visitors enjoying the park.🌳

Cooper State Park South Sulphur and Hopkins County are currently under a burn ban. Fires for cooking are still allowed using ONLY charcoal, propane, containerized fuels. Wood burning fires are prohibited.

Have you ever wondered which white topped plant seems to wave in the autumn breeze out in the pocket prairies of the park? From a distance, it looks like snow because of its white flowers. Meet Snow on the Prairie, a Texas native annual wildflower. This plant thrives here, where butterflies and bees visit it for nectar and the doves will consume the seeds. 🐝🦋❄️
