WWII VETERANS ONLY WEARS HIS COMBAT INFANTRY BADGE 🥀

▪️This past week-end, we had the great opportunity to welcome to the premiere of "They Won’t Die Twice" our friend and WWII Veteran, Oscar Roach.

As you can see, Oscar doesn’t wear his uniform or any medal except the Combat Infantry Badge on his hat. This one badge says it all for those who has seen the worst of war.

During WWII, Oscar bravely served with the 385th Infantry Regiment of the 76th Infantry Division. His unit saw heavy combat in Germany after crossing the Sauer River and pushing through the Siegfried Line.

Oscar was really affected by the loss of his friend and squad leader Staff Sgt James T. Ellis who paid the ultimate price on January 27th, 1945. Last February, we were able to locate his brother in arm and show him a picture of his grave. It was such a moving experience.

▪️In 1945, Oscar was eventually evacuated because of frostbite and spent almost a month in a Army hospital to recover. He couldn’t go back to the front line because of the severity of the damage on his feet. He continued to served his country in Europe as a MP.

We are very honored to call him our friend 🇺🇸
