Did You Know?

The Ward 4 Marshal's Office regularly visits schools throughout our jurisdiction as part of our proactive approach to school safety.

Each day, our Deputies make their way through several different campuses, rotating schools throughout the week so they remain familiar with building layouts, staff, and daily activities. These visits also give Deputies the opportunity to interact with students, build positive relationships and maintain a visible law enforcement presence.

By becoming a familiar face instead of just responding during emergencies, our Deputies are better prepared to respond if they are ever needed.
These school visits are just one of the many ways the Ward 4 Marshal's Office works every day to help keep our community safe.

Summer break is coming to an end, and students throughout the Ward 4 area will be returning to school next week on Thursday, August 13th.

As school traffic increases, please allow yourself a little extra travel time, slow down in school zones, watch for children crossing the street, and be alert for school buses loading and unloading students.

Deputies with the Ward 4 Marshal's Office will be patrolling school zones and enforcing traffic laws to help keep students, parents, school staff and other motorists safe.

A little patience can go a long way. By slowing down and staying alert, we can all do our part to make sure everyone arrives safely—whether they're headed to school, work, or home.

Let's work together to make this a safe and successful school year for everyone.

Did You Know?

The Ward 4 Marshal's Office conducts daily security patrols at West-Calcasieu Cameron Hospital to help provide a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors.

Our Deputies also respond to incidents at the hospital whenever a law enforcement presence is needed. However, if you see one of our deputies walking the halls, it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong. Most of the time, they are simply conducting proactive patrols, checking in with staff, and maintaining a visible presence to help prevent problems before they occur.

These daily patrols are just one of the many ways the Ward 4 Marshal's Office works to keep our community safe every day.

Did you know?

The Ward 4 Marshal's Office is responsible for providing security during all criminal and civil proceedings held in the Ward 4 Court.

Our deputies help ensure a safe and orderly courtroom for judges, attorneys, court staff, defendants, witnesses and members of the public. In addition to courtroom security, our office serves and enforces orders issued by the court, including evictions, garnishments, civil judgments, and other legal processes within the Ward 4 jurisdiction.

When the court issues a bench warrant, it is forwarded to the Ward 4 Marshal's Office for investigation and enforcement. In many cases, our Deputies first attempt to contact the individual and provide an opportunity to voluntarily resolve the matter before an arrest becomes necessary.

Providing courtroom security and carrying out the orders of the court are just a few of the many ways the Ward 4 Marshal's Office serves our community every day.

Did You Know?

The Ward 4 Marshal's Office proudly partners with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury through the Pick It Up Calcasieu litter program to help keep our community clean.

Our Deputies actively patrol for intentional littering violations and investigate illegal dumping complaints. They then work with the Cities of Sulphur and Westlake, along with Calcasieu Parish officials, to ensure illegally dumped items are removed. When litter creates an immediate traffic hazard, our deputies don't just report it—they often pick it up themselves and dispose of it properly.

Our office also operates a Litter Abatement Program for individuals convicted of littering offenses who are sentenced by the Ward 4 Court to perform community service.

Keeping our community clean, safe, and welcoming is just one of the many ways the Ward 4 Marshal's Office works to make a positive difference every day.
