🦎Our satellite preschool class in Moore had a fun week of exploring, creating, and learning!

After reading Blue Chameleon, they learned about chameleons, the bugs they eat, colors, and how camouflage helps them blend into their surroundings. The class even got to catch grasshoppers and observe them up close! πŸ¦—

They also practiced signing colors, made chameleon crafts, and enjoyed fine-motor and sensory activities. To wrap it all up, the class along with their teacher and paraeducator colored their own chameleons and hid them around the classroom for a fun camouflage hunt! 🎨🦎

It was a week full of hands-on learning, curiosity, and lots of fun! πŸ’š

πŸ“£πŸŽ‰ OSD Pep Rally Fun! πŸŽ‰πŸ“£

OSD had a fun pep rally on Wednesday! Our amazing cheerleaders brought the energy by leading fun cheers, and each cheerleader picked a staff member to join in and follow along with their cheer. πŸ“£πŸ™Œ

It was so much fun watching our staff get involved, and everyone enjoyed cheering, laughing, and showing their school spirit! πŸ’š

What a great way to bring our OSD family together! 🎊

We love seeing our young students showing their spirit and enjoying the football game this morning! πŸ“£βœ¨

These moments are about so much more than cheeringβ€”they’re opportunities for our younger students to look up to their older peers and see the power of school spirit, teamwork, leadership, and community. πŸ’š

What a wonderful example our older students are setting for the next generation!

πŸˆπŸ’š Proud to Be OSD! πŸ’šπŸˆ

Our football team put their hearts into the game this morning against Life Christian. While we didn’t get the win today, we couldn’t be more proud of these young men!

These players are young, they’re learning, they’re growing, and they’re taking on new skills, new plays, and new challenges every time they step on the field. That takes courage, commitment, and heart. πŸ’ͺ

πŸ† PLAYER OF THE GAME β€” KURT! πŸ†

Kurt #6, our Defensive End, made a tremendous impact on the team today. He stayed in the game all the way to the end and showed what it means to play for his teammates. He consistently worked to get a hold of opposing players and keep them occupied, creating opportunities for his teammates to make the tackle. That kind of selfless effort and teamwork is exactly what we love to see!

Kurt, we are proud of your effort, determination, and willingness to do whatever it takes to help your team. Way to show your heart! ❀️🏈

Win or lose, we want our players to show their hearts, learn from every game, support one another, and always be proud to be OSD. πŸ’š

Keep your heads up, Bison! We’re proud of you today and every day.

🏐 Volleyball Home Opener! 🏐

Our middle and high school volleyball teams played their first home games yesterday against Fox!

Our middle school volleyball team gave it their best effort but fell short in both sets. They have more games coming up, and we’re excited to see them continue to grow, improve, and build confidence throughout the season! 🏐

Our high school volleyball team battled hard against Fox! The third set was an especially exciting and intense one. Although they ultimately lost the match, they fought hard until the end. Their season record is now 1-1. We know they’ll learn from this game, come back even stronger, and be ready for their next matchup at Tennessee! πŸ”₯🏐

Keep working hard, teams! We’re proud of you and looking forward to the rest of the season! πŸ’š

Sometimes, a change of workspace makes learning even more fun! πŸ“šβœ¨

Our first and second graders enjoyed their ASL class in a different learning space today. We believe learning happens in many waysβ€”and creating new, engaging experiences helps our students stay curious, connected, and excited to learn!

🌎🎨 Our third graders had a blast getting creative with a fun art project! They painted on the back of paper plates and then transferred their artwork onto black papers to create their own interpretation of what Earth looks like from outer space. πŸš€βœ¨

What a creative and exciting way to use their imaginations! Activities like this encourage students to think outside the box, explore their creativity, andβ€”most importantlyβ€”have fun while learning! πŸ’šπŸ¦¬
