My watch has a new glitch that causes it to freeze during updates. For a while, it drove me crazy.

Then I realized something: it usually happens when I've been working too long, rushing from task to task, and spinning my wheels instead of being productive.

Now, instead of getting frustrated, I use those 30 seconds as a reminder to slow down, breathe, and reset.

The finger I use to restart it is the same finger affected by my C5-C6 nerve injury, so I also use the time to focus on the mind-to-muscle connection and recovery.

Mindfulness doesn't have to be sitting quietly on a cushion for an hour.

Sometimes it's simply noticing when life gives you an opportunity to pause.

Slow down. Breathe. Reset.

BlazePods have been a great tool for helping improve reaction time, coordination, cognition, and movement patterns during recovery.

Proud of the work Anita put in today. Seeing veterans and first responders continue to fight forward and make progress is exactly why we do this. 🤙

The shoulder is built to be mobile.

Club arm circles help train rotation, control, momentum, and stability through ranges of motion that most people never touch with traditional shoulder work.

Improve mobility. Strengthen the supportive muscles. Build more resilient shoulders.

If you’re looking to get into club and mace training, the loadable maces from CK Maceworks are one of the best options out there.

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy.

In simple terms, PEMF uses electromagnetic pulses to help support the body’s natural processes by interacting with cells, circulation, and the nervous system. When you can improve your health at the cellular level, it can make a tremendous difference in recovery, energy, sleep, stress management, and overall wellness.

Not all PEMF systems are built the same though.
And one of the biggest differences is the delivery method.

Most traditional PEMF systems commonly use external electromagnetic fields through mats or coils, while systems like the P-90+ use a direct-contact approach through the body using the hands, feet, and attachments.

That direct-contact delivery, combined with portability and convenience, is one of the biggest reasons I personally use it.

I can use it:
• At home
• During breathwork or meditation
• Before or after training
• Before sleep
• While traveling

That matters because consistency is everything when it comes to recovery and nervous system health.

That being said, no device replaces the fundamentals..the tools should support the lifestyle, not replace it.

If you want more information on PEMF or the P90+, send me a message or drop a comment below.

Sometimes one of the best ways to build strength is by trying to move something that won’t move at all.

Our current focus in Operation Antifragile's training is on Overcoming Isometrics. The goal is to create maximum intent and tension without unnecessary wear and tear on the body. Instead of chasing heavy reps, we’re teaching the nervous system to recruit more muscle, create stability, and produce force from the ground up.

This is also a great way to improve your deadlift lockout strength. By pulling maximally at specific sticking points, you can build positional strength, reinforce proper bracing, and improve force production where many people fail the lift.

This is a great way to improve your lockout strength while reducing unnecessary fatigue and spinal loading. By pulling maximally at specific sticking points, you can improve bracing, force production, and nervous system recruitment without needing to max out all the time.

For these, I’ll usually ramp tension hard for around 5 seconds against the pins or immovable object while maintaining position and intent the entire time. If you can't keep driving into the pins, then you've gone too heavy.

This has become a huge tool for me personally with my own nerve injury and recovery. You learn quickly that strength is not just about load… it’s about tension, control, and intent.

Train smarter. Stay in the fight longer.

Thinking of those who never made it home…and those we’ve lost in the war at home.

Today we remember the fallen, honor their sacrifice, and carry their memory forward.
For many veterans and first responders, some battles don’t end when the deployment or shift is over.

Check on your people. Stay connected. Keep fighting for one another.

One of the best parts of my day is getting to witness moments like this.
