The East Precinct station is housed in the Sultan Police Department serving a region made up of mostly rural and residential area and includes small cities, farm and National Forest land. Services offered include Concealed Pistol License applications, fingerprinting, and filing crime reports.

Join us tomorrow for Sultan’s National Night Out!

Bring your family and friends to River Park on Tuesday, August 4, from 5–7 p.m. for an evening of community, safety, and family fun.

The celebration will kick off with a parade at 5 p.m., beginning at 8th and Main Street and traveling down Main Street to River Park.

Thanks to the hard work of the Sultan Community Alliance, guests can enjoy food, drinks, local vendors, children’s activities, a bouncy house, and much more.

Featured activities and displays include:

🎯 Nerf target range for kids
🎁 Sultan Police giveaways
🚁 Drone demonstrations
🚤 Marine Unit display
🚓 Patrol vehicles
🛡️ SWAT BearCat display

We’ll also be joined by Snohomish County Search & Rescue, Snohomish County PUD, the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management, and Fire District 5.

One of this year’s biggest highlights will be a visit from the Sheriff’s Office helicopter, SnoHawk! The crew will perform a simulated hoist rescue before landing at the event, giving attendees a chance to see the helicopter up close and take photos.

Join us for Sultan’s National Night Out! 🚓🚒🚁

Mark your calendar for August 4 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at River Park, located at 1st and Main Street in Sultan.

The evening will begin with a parade at 5:00 p.m., starting at 8th and Main Street and traveling down Main Street to River Park.

The Sultan Community Alliance has been working hard to help make this a fun, family-friendly event. There will be vendors, food, drinks, children’s activities, a bouncy house, and much more!

🎆 Fireworks Safety for the City of Sultan 🎆

As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, Sultan Police Department wants to help everyone celebrate safely, responsibly, and legally.

Please review the attached images from the Washington State Patrol Fire Protection Bureau. They show examples of legal consumer fireworks and fireworks/explosive devices that are not legal in Washington State.

Legal fireworks discharge times in the City of Sultan are:

July 3: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
July 4: 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM
July 5: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Fireworks may only be discharged during these dates and times.

🚫 Fireworks are prohibited in all City of Sultan parks. Discharging fireworks in city parks may result in enforcement action.

Please also remember that violating the City of Sultan fireworks ordinance is not handled as a simple infraction. Under Sultan Municipal Code 8.06.100, violations are a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, a fine of up to $1,000, or both. Each day or occurrence may be considered a separate offense.

We ask everyone to be respectful of neighbors, pets, veterans, and others who may be affected by fireworks. Please make good decisions, use only legal fireworks, follow the allowed discharge times, and help keep Sultan safe this holiday.

**REMINDER: Reiter Road remains closed at MP 5, near the 47700 block of Reiter Road, due to a landslide that occurred in March.

The Gold Bar Police Department has received reports of drivers bypassing the road closure signs. Please remember that drivers who go around posted road closure signs may be cited under RCW 46.44.080, Violation of Posted Road Restrictions, which carries a $423 fine.

The closure is in place for public safety. Please obey all posted road closure signs.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the East County Open House on Saturday! We had a wonderful time welcoming our community to the precinct, sharing tours, introducing our staff, and showcasing demonstrations from our BearCat, drone, and marine units!

We appreciate everyone who came out, enjoyed a hot dog and beverage, and helped make the event such a success. Your support and engagement mean a great deal to us, and we look forward to seeing you again at future community events!

Reminder for Tomorrow: Welcome to Our East County Open House!

UPDATE: Bomb technicians cleared the school and did not find any evidence of a threat to the campus. The school will resume normal operations. Deputies will have increased patrols around the campus overnight and tomorrow. Thank you all for your patience as we investigated this incident.

Shortly before the end of the school day, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a suspicious note found by students inside a classroom at Sultan Middle School referencing a bomb threat dated tomorrow. The incident was reported to the school administration and immediately reported to the Sultan School District Resource Officer. Out of an abundance of caution, all teachers, staff, and any remaining individuals on campus were evacuated from the building for an initial safety sweep of the school. Bomb technicians are responding to the school to further investigate. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
