🍬🧬 Science you can see (and snack on)!

Our Honors Biology students recently got hands-on with genetics by building their own DNA models using candy! Students explored DNA structure, complementary base pairing, and the processes of transcription and translation as they turned their candy creations into a lesson on how DNA codes for proteins. 🐺💙🤍

We loved welcoming Class of 2026 alumni Blaire Coleman and Gracie Andrews back to Bethany to meet with our Senior Seminar class!

Blaire and Gracie shared their experiences transitioning from high school to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, offering our seniors a firsthand look at college life and what to expect during their first year.

Thank you, Blaire and Gracie, for coming back to Bethany to share your experiences and advice with our future graduates. We are so proud of you both and can’t wait to see all you accomplish!

Our Middle School Career Explorations class welcomed Miss Lovette, owner of Cotton & Rye Outfitters, as a guest speaker today!

Miss Lovette shared what it’s like to be an entrepreneur, apparel manufacturer, and designer. Students learned how skills like teamwork, communication, financial literacy, product design, and initiative translate into real-world careers.

A big thank you to Miss Lovette for taking the time to share her experience and give our students a closer look at the world of entrepreneurship! We appreciate our community members who invest in our students and their futures.

Mrs. Carlson’s 10th grade ELA classes recently had the opportunity to take a field trip to see The Great Gatsby musical at the Stephen Tanger Center! After reading the classic novel in class, students got to see the story come to life on stage. Before the show, they enjoyed dinner together at Mellow Mushroom. 🐺💙🤍

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, our high school students designed hoodies highlighting famous Hispanic figures, their origins, accomplishments, and contributions. Mrs. Wilson’s students also created personalized papel picados, now displayed along the hallway, adding a festive touch to our school!

Bring the family, wear your costumes, and enjoy a safe, fun and FREE evening of trick-or-treating. 🍬

Calling all softball players! Join us at Bethany Community School on October 24 for a special softball camp featuring Ali Newland, AUSL and LSU standout.

Players will have the opportunity to learn from one of the game’s top athletes through hands-on instruction and skill development.
