Summerset Police Department Announces Indictment in Burglary & Theft Investigation
On November 5, 2025, two individuals forcibly entered KC Trailers in Summerset. During the burglary, keys were taken for multiple vehicles and trailers on the property. Three vehicles were stolen from the lot, along with several thousand dollars in tools and a firearm.
All three vehicles were later recovered by law enforcement, along with the majority of the stolen tools and the firearm.
On November 8, Summerset officers executed a search warrant at a residence and recovered additional items connected to the burglary.
On April 27, 2026, Alexander Montileaux, 31, of Rapid City, was indicted by a Meade County Grand Jury in connection with this case. Charges include:
- Third Degree Burglary
- Five Counts of Grand Theft
A warrant has been issued for Montileaux’s arrest. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash or surety.
This case was investigated by the Summerset Police Department.
As with all criminal proceedings, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
