Do not burn!!! Crews are out battling fires, and recourses for mutual aid are limited due to other departments being on fires in their districts. Please do not burn and put people and their houses, and our firefighters in danger!

In the year of 2023 Summersville Fire and Rescue had a total of 275 calls consisting of
• 186 medical calls
• 14 landing zone set ups
• 20 motor vehicle accidents
• 46 fire calls
• 9 calls of service

Update - Road is open at 4:53pm

Please avoid the area of yellow cow hill on 17. There is a traffic accident and the road will be closed for an extended amount of time.

There are several trees and limbs down around town. Please be patient as crews are out working trying to get them cleaned up.

Summersville Fire hosted the MU electric vehicle fire class. We had 32 people attending from 10 different departments. Thanks to everyone who made it a great success!
