Congrats to Nicholas County 4-Her, Quinn Raffo. She was selected as a one the 1609 Semifinalists of 99,400 applicants for the program.
Quinn was also awarded 2nd runner up in the WV Scholar competition for WV Wesleyan.

Today, President Gee announced that all WVU-sponsored camps and in-person activities scheduled in June would be canceled, including county 4-H camps and other WVU Extension Service events.

We know how much these camps and experiences mean to our campers and communities, and we understand how upsetting it is for everyone involved, especially our older campers who might not be able to attend after this year. We are working hard to come up with other ways to bring our campers together and offer them alternative ways to connect with each other.

As of now, we will continue to move forward with summer plans for July and August. As always, we work closely with state leaders, health officials and WVU leaders to ensure the safety of our programs for participants. We anticipate a decision regarding July camps and activities will be made later this month.

Above all, the safety of our community remains our top priority. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. 💛💙

WVU Extension would like to announce the hiring of Amy Walker as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent in Nicholas County. Amy’s anticipated start date is in early April. We will share more about Amy soon. Please help us welcome her to the WVU Nicholas County Extension team.

Tomorrow is the LAST day to register for state weekend camps and receive the discounted rate! The price of Dance Weekend, Teen Leader Weekend, Shooting Sports Weekend and Code Camp will go up after tomorrow! All registrations are being done through zsuites - so if you haven't created your online zsuite enrollment - you need to do it now! Go to 4h.zsuite.org and register!
