We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stan Mosley, who retired as Summerville Police Chief after 24 years of service. His years of unwavering service and leadership helped to make our community a safer place.

Throughout his tenure, he exemplified integrity, commitment, and a true passion for public safety. His legacy will continue to guide and inspire all of us who follow in his footsteps.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Chief.

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT MONDAY FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS IN PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA...

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Red Flag Warning for low relative humidities and gusty winds in portions of north Georgia, which is in effect until 8 PM EDT Monday. Due to ongoing drought and lack of rainfall, critical fire weather conditions are reached at relative humidity values of 30% or less.
