Just for clarification, and I have reached out to the newspaper for the inaccurate “head line”. The indicted individual was never an employee of the jail nor was she a “jailer”. The indicted individual was a nurse that was employed by the inmate medical provider that provides medical services to the inmates at the jail. Nothing is worse to good employees than to be placed in the negative spotlight when reporting is inaccurate. To my folks working in the jail, keep up the good work! Also, great job by my Investigators in uncovering, investigating and arresting her. - Sheriff Mark A. Schrader

We are happy to report that we now have a new collection container to collect expired and / or unused prescription medications. It is located in the lobby at the Sheriff’s Office and available from 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday (excluding holidays). This is in partnership with NarcX. Staff will assist in helping you dispose of the medications into the collection container. Then, you take your prescription bottle back with you to dispose of to protect any identifying information. PLEASE note the picture that shows what is and what is not allowed.
