The Chattooga County Board of Elections and Registration will hold a meeting Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 2 pm. the meeting will take place at the Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. The purpose of the meeting is to issue Calls for Special Elections to be held in conjunction with the November 3, 2026 General Election. The meeting is open to the public.

As of June 23, 2026 at 8:30 AM, there have been 49 absentee by mail ballots issued. 37 ballots have been accepted, 1 has been cancelled (voter requested), 1 has been rejected (received after the deadline), and 10 ballots are outstanding.

669 voters cast a ballot during Advance Voting. 1301 voters cast a ballot on Election Day. No provisional ballots were cast.

Today (June 23) at 10 am we will begin the recount for Public Service Commission District 3. Friday (June 26) at 9 am we will begin Risk Limiting Audit for the June 16 Primary Runoff election. Both events will take place at the Registrars Office. The public may attend. Seating is limited.

As of June 22, 2026 at 8:30 AM, there have been 49 absentee by mail ballots issued. 37 ballots have been accepted, 1 has been cancelled (voter requested), 1 has been rejected (received after the deadline), and 10 ballots are outstanding.

669 voters cast a ballot during Advance Voting. 1301 voters cast a ballot on Election Day. No provisional ballots were cast.

The Pre-Certification meeting will take place today (June 22) at 2 pm and the Certification meeting will take place at 5 pm. Both meetings will take place in the Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. The public is welcome to attend.

Tomorrow (June 23) at 10 am we will begin the recount for Public Service Commission District 3. As of June 16, 2026 at 7 AM, there have been 49 absentee by mail ballots issued. 35 ballots have been accepted and 14 ballots are outstanding. Absentee ballots may be returned to the Registrars Office through 7 pm today.

Advance Voting has ended. 669 voters cast a ballot during Advance Voting.

There is no voting in the Registrars Office today. Today you must vote at your assigned polling location (Gore Fire Hall, Lyerly Community Center, Former Menlo City Hall / Fire Hall, Chattooga County Civic Center, or Trion Rec Department). Polls are open until 7 pm tonight.

Government issued photo ID is required.

For this election, there are 2 ballot options: Republican and Democratic. Voters who voted a Republican ballot for the May 19 General Primary will receive a Republican ballot for the June 16 Primary Runoff. Voters who voted a Democratic ballot for the May 19 General Primary will receive a Democratic ballot for the June 16 Primary Runoff. Voters who cast a Nonpartisan ballot for the May 19 election or who did not vote in the May 19 election (but who were registered by April 20) may select either a Republican or Democratic ballot. Voters who registered to vote in between April 21 and May 18 will receive a Federal Only ballot. Federal Only ballots only contain federal races and will not contain any state races.

As of June 15, 2026 at 8 AM, there have been 49 absentee by mail ballots issued. 31 ballots have been accepted and 18 ballots are outstanding. Absentee ballots may be returned to the Registrars Office through 7 pm tomorrow.

Advance Voting has ended. 669 voters cast a ballot during Advance Voting.

There is no voting today. Tomorrow is Election Day. There will be no voting in the Registrars Office tomorrow.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492, the Chattooga County Board of Elections and Registration will begin computation and canvassing on June 16, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Pursuant to SEB Rule 183-1-12-.12 (f), the Board will hold a Pre-Certification Meeting on June 22, 2026 at 2 PM. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492, the Board will hold a certification meeting on June 22, 2025 at 5 PM. The meetings will take place in the Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville.

As of June 12, 2026 at 7:30 AM, there have been 49 absentee by mail ballots issued. 29 ballots have been accepted and 20 ballots are outstanding. The deadline to request an absentee by mail ballot for the June 16, 2026 Primary Runoff has passed.

Advance Voting continues today from 8:30 AM - 5 PM. Today is the final day of Advance Voting. All Advance Voting will take place in the Registrars Office at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. So far, 472 ballots have been cast during Advance Voting.
