📢 EARLY RELEASE NOTICE – AUGUST 27 & 28
Attention Students, Parents, and Staff:
All Chattooga County Schools will release students early on Thursday, August 27, and Friday, August 28, to allow for traffic clearance from Summerville Middle School in preparation for the Chattooga County Fair events.
Important Details:
🕐 Early Release Time: 1:30 PM
🍽️ Lunch will be served as usual before dismissal.
🏫 All after-school activities and programs will continue as scheduled.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please make arrangements to ensure car riders are picked up promptly at the early dismissal time. This is important for everyone’s safety.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – Chattooga County School
Due to downed trees and power lines in the area that have resulted in a power outage at Lyerly School all Chattooga County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay. While the estimated timeline for power to be restored is school start time, breakfast will not be ready and our buses need light to see to pass roads that are affected.
ALL Chattooga County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay today, Friday, August 21, 2026.
We appreciate the understanding of our Chattooga School families and staff as crews work to address the outage. Please stay safe when traveling in areas affected by downed trees and power lines.
