The Timrod Library The Timrod Library, founded in 1897, is a membership library, privately funded and open to the public.

We are an affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, helping to provide books for children from ages birth - 5 years in our community.

Fun is the name of the game at the annual Timrod Library Game Day on June 24 from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Bring a group of friends and the card or board game of your choice. We’ll provide tables, chairs, and a delicious lunch.
Reservations are available for tables of four, and tickets are $30 per person. Make reservations at the Library.

Journalist and author Lindsay Street will talk about her book, "Maude Callen: Legendary Nurse Midwife of South Carolina," at the Timrod Library at 3 p.m. this SATURDAY!
Street's book illuminates the life of Maude Callen, a pioneering Black nurse-midwife, who brought life-saving healthcare to the rural South from 1923 to 1990.
Tickets are $15 and $10 for Timrod Library Members and available at the link below and at the Library. Seating is limited, so don't wait! The author’s books will be available for sale at the event.
