The Missouri University of Science and Technology has announced that it has received approval for a six-month, $50,000 grant that will be issued from the National Science Foundation. The grant will aid in the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell technology. If successful, the project could be another victory for the overall fuel cell industry, which has been fighting for commercialization for more than a decade!

Hank Wedaa is being honored at 2015 Fuel Cell Seminar. I was lucky enough to get to laugh with my old friend yesterday! He is a Hydrogen Hero to me but he's lived 100 lives in his 91 years. Hank flew 30 missions over Northern Europe in his crew’s B-24, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters--just one of his incredible accomplishments. Great news! This is in the same South Carolina County I live in and only a few miles from the expanding Boeing facility. BMW's North America HQ is located about 3 hours driving time from here.

Volvo Cars has chosen Berkeley County, South Carolina as the location of its first American factory, investing up to $500 Million in a facility with a capacity to initially produce up to 100,000 cars per year.

Toyota is excited to release their new Fuel-Cell Mirai! They have sped up production over the summer, and are at a rate of about 3 cars per day. Toyota hopes to release 3,000 Mirai's by the end of 2017! The car has been test drove multiple times and the reviews are outstanding!
