Sharing The Harvest Food Bank Providing food for the body and food for the soul Hunger is closer than you think. Each of us is called to play a part in God’s plan.

Many families are just one paycheck away from facing a food shortage in their home. In 2009 I witnessed an economic crisis of people turning to churches for assistance with a basic need of FOOD. I served in several food pantries and watched as people were turned away because it was not enough to go around. There was a need in the community, and I was given the assignment by God to fill that need.

Since 2009, it has been my desire to not only supply families with full meals; but teach them how to make those meals stretch by meal planning. God gave me the vision to raise awareness and support ALL over. Sharing The Harvest Food Bank simply started by asking the families what they needed and going shopping for them. I’d travel in my car with food for the hungry delivering not only their meals, but offering encouraging words and prayer. Overtime, I noticed the need for families began to grow, and my passion is to help everyone that comes to me. Last year I shared my home, vehicle, and finances to feed over 500 local families full Thanksgiving meals! I see feeding the hungry as an opportunity to be a blessing to someone, and I enjoy sharing.
