OWNER FOUND 😊

Is anyone missing this little guy! He was found on the 200 West Ludlow Street. Super friendly, has a collar and a tag. He is at the Borough office.

During the second week of September, Summit Hill Borough Council became aware that water service to some delinquent properties was prematurely terminated due to the owners’ non-payment of the Borough’s annual sewer transmission fee. Pursuant to Chapter 379 of the Borough Code of Ordinances, advance written notice was properly mailed to each of those delinquent account owners to inform them that continued non-payment would result in the termination of service. However, the Borough inadvertently omitted the secondary administrative step of physically posting a shut-off notice at each of the affected properties prior to the termination of their water service.

Borough Council immediately directed Water Authority staff to suspend the remaining scheduled water shutoffs and restore water service to the impacted properties on an expedited basis. The associated reconnection fees will be waived as to those properties while the Borough refines its administrative procedures and physically posts the properties with advance shut-off notices.

The Borough wishes to clarify that routine water service terminations that were independently initiated by the Coaldale-Lansford-Summit Hill Sewer Authority for separate, underlying sewer utility delinquencies remain unaffected and fully comply with statutory notice requirements.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the countless lives forever changed by the events of that day.

We remember the innocent victims, the brave first responders who ran toward danger, the members of our military who answered the call to serve, and the families who continue to carry the loss of their loved ones.

Twenty-five years later, we also remember the strength, courage, compassion, and unity our nation showed in the days that followed.

May we never forget those we lost, those who served, and the sacrifices made in the aftermath of September 11.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸
