The Summit Police Department will hold a procession for former Summit Police Detective Deborah Garfield on their way from Jackson Airport. The procession will be in front of the Police Department and then to People’s Funeral home. If you want to watch procession, the time will be sometimes after 2.

Our sincere condolences to her family and friends as well as the fellow officers she has worked with during her career.

Our new Chief Scott Reeves is taking his new position very seriously by taking classes for new chiefs in Jackson, MS this week. Chief Reeves has been in law enforcement for for more than 20 years and still sees the job as a space to grow and develop. He sees law enforcement as an opportunity to serve the public and he is loving the time to grow. When you see Chief Reeves thank him for his service!! The town of Summit thanks you for all you do Sir!!
