Summer is arriving at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, and the gardens are bursting with color, beauty, and exciting programs for all ages. From wellness experiences and family programs to bird walks, educational workshops, and special events, there’s so much to explore this month.

JOIN US for this family-friendly dedication and celebration event!

Reeves-Reed Arboretum was the recent recipient of a life saving outdoor AED equipment bundle from The Aliver Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and donating AED equipment in order to save lives.

"With thousands of guests visiting Reeves-Reed Arboretum annually, having this lifesaving AED equipment installed outside and easily accessible for our visitors is an important step in supporting the safety and well-being of our community." - Jackie Kondel, Executive Director

This event will include children's activities, and interactive demonstration, and the opportunity to meet some of our wonderful local first responders.

EXCITING NEWS! 🎨🌿

Season 1 of Eric En Plein Air featuring Reeves-Reed Arboretum will premiere on the PBS App on Tuesday, June 2, with the Arboretum appearing in Episode 6!

We’re not yet sure if all Season 1 episodes will be available on launch day, so viewers should also keep an eye on local public television listings for broadcast information.

And even more exciting — Eric will be back at the Arboretum TONIGHT, Friday, May 29, creating a live en plein air painting during ART in the Garden, which will be featured in our silent auction! ✨ Thank you, Eric!

Volunteers, staff, board members, and have been working around the clock preparing for ART in the Garden — our largest and most important fundraiser of the year! ✨🌿

If you’re joining us tomorrow night, thank you! And if you’re thinking about it, there’s still time to get your tickets for this incredible evening in the garden and under the stars in support of this community treasure.

Affectionately known simply as “The Arboretum,” this special place is a refuge for peace and reflection, a center for education and stewardship, and a space for connection and community. And we can’t do it without YOUR support.

Spring is for the Birds | Part 2 🐦🪺

Migration season is in full swing, and colorful migrants are flitting through the Arboretum’s forest and gardens, singing to attract mates. Many of them are small and speedy, so it helps to go out with a seasoned guide like ours who can teach you the tricks to identifying birds by sight and sound, as well as fun facts about their lives. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to expert. Please bring binoculars.
