Banned books need readers!

Teens entering Grades 8–12 are invited to become Banned Book Readers for Banned Books Week 2026. Choose an excerpt from a banned book and read it aloud for an audience at the Library on Tuesday, October 6 at 7 PM.

Love reading, performing, or speaking in front of a crowd? We’d love to hear from you.

We're wowed by your generosity! Donations for our Community Art and Craft Supply Swap keep coming in day by day. Yarn, ribbons, artificial flowers, string, canvases, markers: there's a new kind of supply in every donation.

We can't fit photos of all these beautiful supplies in just one post; you'll have to wait until Saturday, September 19th to see them all. We truly appreciate all these thoughtful gifts. The Swap is gearing up to be a big one.

The Community Art and Craft Supply Swap will take place Saturday, September 19 from 1pm to 3pm. No registration required. Donations accepted and appreciated through Sunday, September 13.

Our elementary kids have been hard at work to help the Wilson White Learning Garden grow all spring and summer.

At our Little Sprouts Garden Club, they've grown all kinds of produce and native plants. Take a look at the progress on the tomatoes and peppers!

Harvest is just around the corner, so take a look at their garden soon, outside the Library along Morris Ave.

Our young explorers headed into Summit’s Tiny Forest with Ms. Mimi to learn about native plants and Summit's local ecosystem! They got a closer look at all the different kinds of plants growing right here in the Summit community and picked up inspiration for gardens of their own.
