The Sun Prairie Area School District is one of the fastest growing school districts in Wisconsin, with more than 8500 students. We have 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 upper middle school, 1 high school, 1 alternative learning school, and a 4K program. Sun Prairie is a thriving, increasingly diverse community conveniently located in south central Wisconsin. We are minutes from Madison an

d close to both Milwaukee and Chicago. The city provides an excellent blend of affordability and high quality of life for its residents. The community is supportive of education, passing twelve building referendums in the past 10 years. Most recently, was a two-part referendum which included a capital referendum of $164M and an operational referendum of 5M annually to build a new high school, reconfigure Cardinal Heights, relocate Prairie Phoenix Academy, build a new multi-purpose stadium, fund construction and capital maintenance projects, increase salary for teachers to align with Dane County average, and fund annual operational expenses associated with the second high school. Sun Prairie is known for its historic downtown, quality schools, outstanding parks, and safe neighborhoods.
