Central resource for food, clothing and other vital services for Northeastern Dane County residents.

Sunshine Place is the primary community resource providing coordinated support services for children, families, and individuals in Sun Prairie and northeastern Dane County. We aim to increase equity for those most vulnerable in our community by offering one location where individuals can access social services to help with basic needs. Sunshine Place houses seven of its own programs and six partne

r agencies to help those experiencing housing insecurity, food insecurity, and other hardships that contribute to household instability.

🌞 Sunshine Place staff and volunteers recently came together to help out at United Way of Dane County's Day of Caring event and had a blast!

Over 800 volunteers came together to package paper products, menstrual products, and snack packs, and to write notes of encouragement to local, older adults. Volunteers at the event assembled over 20,000 'ImPacks' of items that will go to neighbors throughout the community who need them the most, including Sunshine Place clients! 👏

Thank you to United Way for hosting this event, and for providing us with some of these vital supplies for our programs, including the pantry program, Food for Kids, and housing. We are so grateful for community partners like you! 🥰

Hi friends, it's time for another shopping bag round-up!

Our Sunshine Pantry program needs more bags for pantry shoppers to use for their groceries. Plastic bags are preferred, but we will take paper or cloth ones too. Here's how you can help:

💙 If you are a pantry shopper, please gather the bags you have collected and bring them back to the pantry to donate at your next visit.
💛 If you or your workplace have an excess of sturdy grocery bags, please consider donating them to the pantry.

Bags can be dropped off at 18 Rickel Rd., Sun Prairie, either in the Sunshine Resource Lobby during open hours (M/TU/W/TH/F 9 AM – 3 PM), or in the blue donation barrel out front any time!
