One more week until Abbott Library welcomes Mel Allen, Yankee Magazine past editor for almost 50 years! “Listening to New England,” is a 45-minute PowerPoint presentation drawing from his nearly half century of reporting and writing about the unique people and places of New England. Mel will let you see and feel the region in a unique way. Along the way, Mel will talk about Yankee’s past and how it has survived for 90 years since its founding in 1935. After the talk, Mel will answer questions and meet with audience members who wish to have him inscribe copies of his new book - "Here in New England: Unforgettable People, Places and Memories that Connect Us All".
